LLMA '09 Committee to Form: You are invited!

LLMA ’09 PLANNING COMMITTEE
VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION

Committee members will work as a team to plan and implement Library Leadership Massachusetts ’09. Participants will attend approximately six meetings between September 2007 and May 2009 at varying locations around the state, spend several hours between meetings on the work of LLMA ’09, and participate as staff at the institute in summer 2009.

Representative tasks include:

• working with other committee members to select institute facilitators, site, and to design content


• participating in regional participant selection and final approval of applicants


• planning and implementing after-hours activities at the institute


• organizing publicity


• managing communications


• planning participant follow-up


• designing evaluations

This is a volunteer opportunity, but the personal and professional satisfactions you’ll receive are a reward in themselves!

The first meeting of the committee is planned for October 4 in Boxborough.
