MLA Hall of Fame - Call for Nominations

The MLA Public Relations Committee is requesting nominations for inductees to the Massachusetts Library Association’s Hall of Fame in 2008.

Nominations must be received by December 14, 2007 in order to be considered.

Inductees to the Hall of Fame are practicing or retiring librarians who have made a substantial, sustained contribution to advancing the cause of Massachusetts librarians or librarianship over a career of at least ten years. Inductees' contributions may be in the fields of public service, education, advocacy, mentoring, service to the profession, or other areas. Inductees’ contributions should be recognized on a regional, state-wide, or national level. Inductees may work or have worked in school, public, special, or academic libraries, in library education, agencies, or associations.

Nominations will be evaluated by the MLA Public Relations Committee and recommendations to name awardees will be submitted to the MLA Executive Board for final approval. Inductees will be honored at MLA’s May 2008 Conference in Falmouth.
